1. Introduction

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of EPUBReadify, including any websites, applications, tools, and services that link to these Terms.

EPUBReadify is a modern SaaS platform that may provide EPUB reading, personal digital libraries, reading progress, notes and highlights, bookmarks, reading statistics, AI-powered reading tools, text-to-audio functionality, translation tools, OPDS catalog connections, and reading integrations.

By accessing or using EPUBReadify, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.

2. Eligibility and Acceptance

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms under applicable law. If you use EPUBReadify on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Where legally permitted, continued use of EPUBReadify after updates to these Terms may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure.

• Do not share credentials in ways that compromise account security.
• Do not use another person's account without permission.
• Notify EPUBReadify if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for activity occurring through your account.

4. Using EPUBReadify

EPUBReadify provides tools and features intended for personal reading, library organization, and related reading workflows.

• Reading EPUB books and supported digital content.
• Organizing a personal library and creating collections.
• Tracking reading progress and current position.
• Saving bookmarks, highlights, notes, and reading statistics.
• Using supported AI features, text-to-audio tools, and translation tools.
• Connecting compatible OPDS catalogs and reading integrations.

Features may be updated, added, limited, changed, or discontinued. EPUBReadify does not promise that every feature will always be available.

5. Books, Library & User Content

User Content

You may be able to upload, import, store, organize, access, or process book files and related content through EPUBReadify.

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights, permissions, or lawful access to any content they upload, import, store, or use through EPUBReadify.

License to Operate the Service

You grant EPUBReadify a limited, non-exclusive, technical license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, and display your user content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and operate the service you request.

This license is for service operation and is not a transfer of ownership. EPUBReadify does not claim ownership of your lawful content merely because it is stored or processed by the service.

Copyright Responsibility

You must respect copyright and other intellectual-property rights. You must not use EPUBReadify to distribute unauthorized copies, facilitate infringement, upload content you do not have rights to use, or circumvent legitimate access restrictions.

EPUBReadify may respond to valid infringement reports, legal requests, or suspected misuse where appropriate.

6. Reading Data & Progress

EPUBReadify may store service-related information such as reading progress, current position, bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading preferences, and reading statistics.

7. AI & Text-to-Audio Features

EPUBReadify may provide AI summaries, AI-assisted reading tools, text-to-audio functionality, translation tools, or other language-related features.

AI Output

AI-generated results may contain errors, omit context, be incomplete, or require user verification. You should not rely on AI-generated information as professional, legal, medical, financial, or other specialized advice.

User Authorization

You should only submit or process content that you are legally entitled to use with the relevant feature.

Feature Availability

AI and audio functionality may depend on technical availability, usage limits, account plan, or third-party processing services.

8. OPDS & Third-Party Integrations

OPDS Catalogs

EPUBReadify may allow you to connect compatible OPDS catalogs and services you select, such as Calibre-Web, COPS, or public OPDS feeds.

You are responsible for the catalogs you connect, your credentials, your right to access content, and your compliance with third-party terms. EPUBReadify does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, legality, or ownership of content available through third-party catalogs.

Third-Party Reading Integrations

EPUBReadify may provide integrations such as Readwise-compatible highlight feeds and KOReader-compatible reading-progress synchronization. These integrations may require interaction with third-party services.

You are responsible for complying with those services' terms. EPUBReadify is not represented as owned by, operated by, or officially endorsed by those third parties unless that relationship is expressly confirmed.

9. Plans, Subscriptions & Billing

EPUBReadify may offer free plans, paid plans, monthly billing, annual billing, or other subscription options. Actual pricing and available features are displayed on the Pricing page.

• Features may vary by plan.
• Taxes may apply where required.
• Subscription terms should be reviewed before purchase.

If refunds are governed by a separate policy, that policy will control the applicable refund terms.

Promotional or Trial Access

Promotional access, free trials, credits, or discounted periods may be subject to specific conditions communicated at the time of the offer.

10. Acceptable Use

Prohibited Activities

You must not use EPUBReadify to:

• Violate applicable laws or facilitate unlawful activity.
• Infringe intellectual-property rights.
• Upload or distribute unauthorized copyrighted material.
• Commit fraud or impersonate another person or organization.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
• Circumvent security controls or technical protections.
• Interfere with service operation or disrupt infrastructure.
• Introduce malware, harmful code, or abusive automation.
• Abuse APIs, integrations, or automated systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract service data in unauthorized ways.
• Overload EPUBReadify systems or third-party services.

Automated Access

Automated access, scraping, crawling, API usage, or bulk requests may be restricted unless explicitly supported or authorized.

You must not attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, authentication, usage limits, subscription restrictions, or technical protections.

11. Intellectual Property

EPUBReadify IP

EPUBReadify's platform and original materials may include software, interface design, branding, logos, graphics, text, documentation, features, and other proprietary materials protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except where expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, reproduce, redistribute, reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative works from EPUBReadify's proprietary platform materials.

User Content

You retain rights to content you lawfully own. EPUBReadify does not grant you ownership of third-party books or permission to use content you do not have lawful rights to use.

Feedback and Suggestions

If you submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback about EPUBReadify, EPUBReadify may use that feedback to improve the platform without creating an obligation to compensate you, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Third-Party Services

EPUBReadify may rely on or connect with third-party services, including OPDS catalogs, AI processing services, payment services, hosting or infrastructure providers, Readwise-compatible integrations, KOReader synchronization, and other services selected by you.

Third-party services may have separate terms, privacy policies, availability, and limitations. To the extent permitted by applicable law, EPUBReadify is not responsible for third-party services.

13. Service Availability

EPUBReadify aims to provide a reliable service, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The service may occasionally be affected by maintenance, updates, technical failures, network issues, third-party outages, security incidents, or events beyond reasonable control.

Changes to Features

EPUBReadify may add features, modify features, remove features, change usage limits, change plan benefits, or update technical requirements. Where legally required, users will receive appropriate notice of material changes.

14. Disclaimers

EPUBReadify is provided on an appropriate availability basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, EPUBReadify does not guarantee the accuracy of all content, continuous availability, error-free operation, accuracy of AI-generated output, availability of third-party services, or availability or legality of third-party catalog content.

You are responsible for evaluating information generated, stored, retrieved, translated, narrated, or accessed through the platform.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EPUBReadify and its operators should not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or similar damages arising from use of or inability to use the service.

This may include loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of goodwill, or service interruption.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

16. Indemnification

Subject to applicable law, you may be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from your misuse of EPUBReadify, violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, infringement of third-party rights, or content you upload or distribute unlawfully.

17. Suspension & Termination

EPUBReadify may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including for violations of these Terms, security risks, fraud, abuse, illegal activity, non-payment, or operational reasons.

You may stop using the service and may request account deletion through available support channels.

After suspension or termination, access may end, certain account features may become unavailable, and some information may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary.

18. Changes to These Terms

EPUBReadify may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, EPUBReadify may update the Last Updated date, publish the revised Terms, and provide additional notice where appropriate or legally required.

Where legally permitted, continued use after changes may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Terms and Disputes

Disputes relating to EPUBReadify may be subject to the laws and legal requirements applicable to the service and user. If a specific governing law or jurisdiction is later established by the business, this section should be updated accordingly.

Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions should remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable service-specific terms referenced by EPUBReadify, represent the agreement concerning use of the service to the extent permitted by applicable law.
